HISTORY
Company History - Building on tradition since 1882
Dr. A. Zoffmann
was a famous Danish biochemist. As head of the laboratory, established
in Copenhagen in 1883 and which bears his name, he churned the very
first cask of butter with the aid of a pure starter at a co-operative
creamery in Bonderup, Denmark in 1889.
In the meantime Dr. A. Zoffmann met a well known dairy
consultant, Dr. S.S. Sevenster, a biochemist and managing director of a
co-operative creamery in Friesland, Holland.Dr. S.S. Sevenster
A good and fruitful collaboration between the two followed and in 1908
Dr. S.S. Sevenster, took over Zoffmann's Laboratory.
Since then pure cultures have been applied in selected Friesian milk,
which resulted in natural CDA's (Cultural Dairy Aromas), and are still
being used as a base of many flavour developments of Dr. Zoffmann's
Laboratory. Send your custom specifications and
